Following Hélder Pinto's tutorial I was able to get my 1st object into Crytek!
it feels like light years since I had hoped to get to this point.
Right now the Material is not exporting through Max but within the CryEditor any material still follows the UV coordinates.
Also after I made this video, closed down the Editor and opened it again the material i had made was gone.
Will have to figure these all out another day. Glad to make this possible today though.
Further test with the Terrain Editor. Made mountains but polies are very stretched. Perhaps those areas would be covered by a wall mesh allowing correct UV distribution.
Coloring the Material made the landscape colors too unnatural but got to understand what they do.
What I need to find out is how to upload a complete material made by me texture and material.
Time Of Day:
Played with time of day settings to see that many parameters like fog, saturation, etc can be enabled.
