THE ARCHIVE PROJECT

In 2008, I got a call out of the Blue. TWO of Manchester's (if not the UK's) most influential Breakdance Crews - Street Machine & Broken Glass were getting back together after 25 years! It was hosted by Electrospective, the BBC were filming a documentary, The money raised was going to charity, Greg Wilson, Chad Jackson, Mike Shaft and Many more were in attendance... It'd be rude not too.

I filmed a four part series documenting the night, PART 1 is looking back at Street Machine and it's members which included Jason Orange (Take That), Evo (Demon Smurf (3 Times world BBOY champion), Cameron 'Nooney' Dante and many more.

For a history as written by Street Machine member Lee Riley (Slaps) follow the link below

To accompany this series of Street Machine films some Old Skool BBOY breaks mixes charting the origins of breaks from as far back as the 1950's will follow shortly.

I have secretly been clearing my loft over the last 2 years and finding ton's of music productions, flyers, unreleased tracks, articles, tour brochures, remixes, Radio shows from Kiss 102 and Radio 1, and never before seen videos (on VHS) from my Street Machine Days.

I have also found exclusive stuff of my time with Bizarre Inc., 2Much, Vertigo, A-UK and mixes done while i was in Ibiza, at Ascension the Club and rare recordings from Vision Classix at Denver's, The Blue Rooms, Philips Park Hall not to mention stuff from Shelley's and Jazzbo Browns (remember those Sunday nights back in 91/92).

I also found DJ mixes and exclusive trax that were sent me over the years from some of the biggest (and not so big) global artists and DJ's, such as DJ Sasha, Farley Jackmaster Funk to name but two.

For this reason i have started archiving all this stuff. I would like any of you out there to upload you're own hidden gems and exclusives that may be hidden in your loft.

FROM THE 70's to 2013 INCLUDING HIP-HOP, B-BOYING, JACKIN', RAVING, FUNKY HOUSE, TECHNO, BREAKS, CLUBBING - IT'S YOUR ARCHIVE - LET'S MAKE SURE THOSE MEMORIES DON'T GET LOST IN SOME ATTIC FOR 25 YEARS - BECOME A MEMBER OF THE ARCHIVE PROJECT TODAY https://www.facebook.com/groups/The.Archive.Project/
