    In Part 2 of our Thanksgiving weekend at Awenda Provincial Park we're doing something a little simpler this time: Traditional Canadian-style Beef Stew.

    Any fool could pull this one off, the recipe is that simple - even Alex makes it look good!

    You might be wondering what makes this stew 'Canadian-style'. Well, it could be that we're Canadians making some stew out in the middle of the Great Canadian Forest... or it might just be the maple syrup and bacon.

    It's a fact that any recipe can be made 'Canadian' just by adding maple syrup and bacon. Bring along a bottle of syrup and a slab o' bacon to your next outing at a fine dining establishment or sushi bar, and Make it Canadian!

    It’s another Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada, and as is tradition The Cooking Show has gone camping. This time we’re up in Awenda Provincial Park on the shores of Georgian Bay, with a backdrop of fall leaves just beginning to turn.

    Now, we all know Thanksgiving is about one thing, and one thing only - stuffing yourself on Turkey. In this episode host Alex Bender shows you how we do a full-on turkey dinner with all the trimmings - and we’re cooking everything over the open flames of our campfire.

    As Alex says, “he’s not looking as pretty as he was, but damn he’s going to be good though...”
