  1. Kevin Rudolf is a difficult musician to pin down: He makes rock music, but is signed to Birdman x Lil Wayne's hip hop-heavy Cash Money Records. He was born in New York, but has relocated to Miami. He's had multi-platinum selling singles (in "Let It Rock" featuring Lil Wayne and "I Made It" featuring Cash Money), but he's been quiet of late as he's focused on writing music for other artists like Keith Urban.

There are two things we know for sure about the chameleon musician, he's back with a new, full-length project dropping later this year and that makes us happy.

Mister Rudolf stopped by The Crosby Press studios recently to talk about that new project and what's he's been up to but before we drop that video, we wanted to give you a taste of Mister Rudolf's music. So, here's Mister Rudolf performing an acoustic rendition of "Heres To Us", the lead single from his new album.

Give it a listen, and then cop a download of the song via iTunes here. Stay tuned for our A Conversation With... Kevin Rudolf interview dropping on Monday of next week.

  2. Claiming that Miami is better than New York because it has fewer Europeans kinda makes it sound like you've never been to Miami, but Kevin Rudolf has, and either way -- who are we to quibble with the 4x Platinum artist?

Besides (playfully) knocking NYC, Rudolf opened up about being the only rock act Birdman' Young Money Records (still!), and what it felt like to have "Let It Rock" go so hard on the charts. Here's a hint: it felt good. As a bonus, Mister Rudolf reveals -- for the first time ever! -- the colors of Birdman's and Lil Wayne's auras.

Mister Rudolf's third studio album drops this fall. Watch him perform the lead single off that project, "Heres To Us", in our studio here. Purchase the song via iTunes here.

  3. Mel Debarge is a staple of the New York City nightlife scene. He's DJ'd for a laundry list of celebrities and cultural clients that would make your head spin and is currently the resident spinner at Avenue and PH-D at The Dream Downtown in New York City, The Borgata in Atlantic City, and Arkadia in Miami.

His taste in music runs from hip hop and soul to funk and disco to rock and reggae; there's never any telling what might go down during a Debarge set.

He's preparing his debut EP, #AxelFoley, for release later this summer, but decided to swing by The Crosby Press to chop it up about all things music and fashion.

Watch as Mister Debarge discusses breaking into the nightlife scene, New York nightclub culture, what the Golden Era of Downtown means, and how NYC music drives fashion.

  4. First it was Jadakiss, now it's Blood Orange; ALIFE is killing the summer with their exclusive backyard live performance sessions.

Watch as newest soul singer on the block Devonté Hynes aka Blood Orange gets all the cool kids to look up from their phones and bust a move.

Bonus: He tells us about how he's just moved to New York, but is trying to maintain a tourist mentality, as well as what it was like to help Solange with her "True" record and tour and when we can expect his debut album.

  5. With the sweltering New York City summer in full swing, we rolled to ALIFE's Rivington Street stronghold to chop it up with Jadakiss before he took the stage for his exclusive backyard ALIFE Session.

Watch as the OG Gotham emcee weighs in on the state of hip-hop, his opinion of the #youthculture movement, and what he's got coming next (new Lox album, anyone?) Then, kick back and enjoy as the master hits the stage and tears it down with some of his all-time classics.
