Joshua Wentz is the synthesizer mastermind and keyboardist extraordinaire behind the Chicago vintage-electrorock group Absinthe and the Dirty Floors. In late 2011, we were asked to photograph what could be their last show.
In this brief video, Joshua sits down and discusses how we captured the raw emotion, and the very essence of the band during that performance.
In the summer of 2013, we were approached by musician, producer, and designer Joshua Wentz. His project, Look Back/Look Forward, a collaboratively-produced 7" vinyl featuring several artists from Chicago, piqued our interest. Soon, we signed on to help with his project.
Over the next few months, the collaboration between Joshua and ourselves deepened. By the project's completion, Nicholas Young, head of Original Machine, had contributed photos for the included booklet, and mastered the release for CD, digital downloads, and vinyl.
