This missional journey isn't primarily about the church and fixing-it or emerging-it or whatever other language is in vogue just now. In Alan Roxburgh's new book "Missional: Joining God in the Neighborhood" he works extensively with Luke/Acts to frame a proposal about the missional journey. Roxburgh questions our pre-occupation with all things church and propose, on the basis of Luke 10, a fresh way of being God's people in these tumultuous times.

"I believe God is up to something in and among the ordinary people of our neighborhoods and communities and in our local churches. "Joining God in the Neighborhood" is about this movement of the Spirit and how we, Biblically, might join with what God is up to out there, ahead of us, in our communities." - Alan Roxburgh
