1. Many people have given up on church. For a good reason. In the western world, the church seems to be in decline, is irrelevant and reaches very few people with a non-Christian background. The fact is that, even though we may have given up on church, God has not given up on church. The local church is his plan A to bring restoration to a broken world. And he doesn't have a plan B! In this sermon, Sebastiaan van Wessem identifies what believers can do to help the church be the hope of the world again.

  2. The restoration that God wants to do in the world begins with the restoration he wants to do in our lives. Often people try to accomplish the work of God without experiencing the work of God. In today’s message John takes a look at what it means to be restored in order to be a restorer.

  3. Many of us love our jobs. Some of us absolutely hate them. Still, God has a plan with our "secular" careers. In fact, "secular" work is as spiritual as spiritual work. Join Sebastiaan as he looks at a few passages in both the Old Testament and the New Testament to find out how we can change a sense of duty into a Holy Spirit empowered drive to make the best out of all the time we invest at our work places.

  4. Christians are often known for what they are against but in his Sermon on the Mount Jesus tells us so many things that we can be for and gives us a message of restoration and renewal for every situation. In this sermon, Kathy encourages us to engage positively with our world with this message and to stand against evil by doing good - standing up for those who are oppressed.

  5. Jesus frequently spent time with people nobody expected him to spend time with. In Luke 19 we can see that he has dinner with a tax collector by the name of Zacchaeus. Nobody in Jesus' day liked tax collectors because they were dishonest and because they helped fund the regime of the oppressor. Yet Jesus cared so much about him that he didn't mind the controversy.

In this sermon, Sebastiaan explores how far we can go when we want to reach people where they are at. Do we let the culture influence us as Christians or should we influence the culture?
