The Victorious Project will showcase the stories of America’s returning veterans: their courage, contributions, long-standing innovations, and the extraordinary spirit that helped shape our nation.
At the end of the Viet Nam war, there was an increased interest in motorcycles. This started with the Honda 90’s and the dirt bike craze and developed into bigger street bikes, like the Indian motorcycles and the American-made Harley Davidson. We will follow Viet Nam veterans as they ride across the country to this year’s 25th anniversary of Rolling Thunder – the Viet Nam Veteran’s Motorcycle ‘Run to the Wall’. We will also cover the 30th anniversary unveiling of the Viet Nam war Memorial in Washington, D.C. We will follow Harry Bostard, a Viet Nam vet who has recently been diagnosed with Post-traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD). Harry, a.k.a. Flash De Monet, spends most of his time along, out on the highway. “I get an immense feeling of freedom when I am out there with my knees in the breeze. That is what we fought for – freedom; even if we were not given a hero’s welcome when we returned home.” Harry is a Long Distance Lone Rider. Five motorcycles are being built for this year’s Rolling Thunder motorcycle run. The bikes will represent the 5 branches of the military: bikernet.com/blog/?p=13914. Harry has been asked to ride the Air Force bike that is being built by master bike builder, Billy Lane.
We will follow Iraqi war veteran Nicholas “Nic” Ashby, a retired Sergeant in the California Army National Guard who served in Baghdad, Fallujah and Mosul. (facebook.com/note.php?note_id=120147294559). Nic returned with a sincere dedication to the memory of his lost brothers and fellow veterans, forged by his battlefield experience. He has created SEMA-award winning National Guard tribute cars that feature his fallen comrades. This year, Nic is constructing a garage to build custom cars featured at the top manufacturer’s car show. Until now, shops have revolved around their consumer base and are not focused on the needs of the auto manufacturers. Nic plans to establish a shop that revolves around the manufacturer’s needs for installs, reviews, prototyping, fitment, project vehicles, and marketing vehicles. The shop’s goal is to free up the auto companies’ resources so they aren’t burdened with finding project vehicles, installing and testing new parts, and arranging for promotional articles. Our site will be a top-of-the-line technical shop, set up for photography, parts installation, airbrushing, paint and body work, filming, demonstrations, conferences, and sales. The Victorious Project plans to build a media truck this year which will be used to cover road journeys and special events.
Victorious is looking for veterans to be a part of Nic’s off-road crew. If you are interested, contact Nic on his Facebook page, above.
The Victorious Project is a message of appreciation to those who served and a source of inspiration to ALL Americans. It brings national awareness to non-profit organizations that are helping our returning wounded. See thevictoriousproject.com

An integral feature of The Victorious Project® are its non-profit organizations that are serving the needs of veterans. One such organization is Fueled By The Fallen, founded by Kevyn Major Howard, ‘Rafterman’ from Stanley Kubrick’s blockbuster film Full Metal Jacket. Howard remembers how his interest in veterans began. “I was watching the nightly news as they announced that twelve died this day and seven that day,” Howard said. “I woke up one morning and challenged myself to name just one person who died for my freedom,” he continued. “I couldn’t.”

The Victorious Project® segments illustrate how those returning -- today or from past wars -- have found ways to quiet their wartime experiences and confront the slow pace of civilian life, and that their solutions have forever changed the American landscape.
