Established in 1996, the closed-circuit television station is a television broadcast/production organization, which offers a realistic perspective on a multitude of career objectives, spanning communication, broadcasting, public relations, business, marketing, management, accounting, art, digital art, interactive multimedia, and many other disciplines at the University, that Trinity students may pursue. Providing students with a background in such a variety of disciplines, students are prepared to be intelligent decision makers in academic interests as well as long-term career choices. TigerTV provides practical hands-on experience in the day-to-day management and operation of a television station. Utilizing a “learning by doing” and teaching method, students learn from an experienced staff and student crew. The station supplements courses by offering additional time to apply techniques learned in those courses. TigerTV cablecasts across campus on cable channel 14 and 14.1 (HD) 24/7 and to the San Antonio community on Time Warner educational access channel 98 for two hours per week. TigerTV currently runs three regularly scheduled weekly programs which include: Newswave (Fridays 3:30pm), Studio 21 (Tuesdays 5:00pm) and the Not So Late Show (Thursdays 5:00pm).
The 2013-2014 Managers are: Gloria Joy Borgardt as Station Manager, Megan Meyer as Website Manager, Ronja Behrends as Special Projects Manager, Kathryn Boyd as Production Manager, Monica Clifford as Programming Manager and Hillary Everts as Marketing/Promotions Manager.
