This Sunday we'll discuss the story of Hannah in 1st Samuel 1 & 2 and examine how her example of determination to be a mother, through prayer, results in amazing things for both Hannah and the nation of Israel. We'll discuss how determination can manifest in our lives, both in our Christian walk and our prayer life.
The story of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz is one of selfless love and devotion. This Sunday we'll discuss the Book of Ruth and how the love and loyalty of the widow Ruth to her widowed mother-in-law Naomi led to redemption and blessings for both. As we celebrate Mother's Day we'll reflect on the attitude of Ruth in her devotion to go where Naomi would go, stay where she would stay and follow Naomi's God, the God of Israel.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” – 1 John 4:7,8 The Apostle John reminded Christians, numerous times throughout 1st John, of the importance of loving one another and being at peace with each other. This Sunday we will examine these verses and how it is critical to our faith and Living Christ Inside Out.
