Welcome to Today’s Take video blog!
Today’s technology is unbelievable! We can connect with people instantly. The internet provides all the information we need. It’s fast.
So, when I need advice or help, I text my friends, I post on Facebook or Instagram. I get immediate counsel and encouragement.
God has advice to give, too. But his advice doesn’t come in a quick text message.
God’s admonition and counsel come in quiet times of solitude. This takes time. Who has such time?
Join me today as we look at the choice to choose “fast” counsel and encouragement or the “best” counsel and encouragement.
Blessings,
Bonnie
Scripture:
Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
Philippians 4:6,7 (CEB) “Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions…Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.”
Matthew 6:31-32 (MSG) “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you…to do his best for you?... Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”
Isaiah 41:10 (AMPC): “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.”
Hebrews 13:5 (AMPC) …”for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down,(relax My hold on you)…Assuredly not!
