Welcome to Today’s Take,
So maybe you don’t blame God when your child runs away, or you lose a child to cancer, or your home burns down, or your spouse is unfaithful…
But how do you move on? How do you get to the other side of the pain?
Today I have invited my husband, Steve, to share a tool that has helped many. He calls it “Reframing”. Healing comes when we stop being the victim and start seeing Jesus in the midst of our painful experience.
“Reframing” has helped thousands and may be a tool that could be useful to you.

Ephesians 4:22-24 New International Reader's Version (NIRV)
22 You were taught not to live the way you used to. You must get rid of your old way of life. That’s because it has been made impure by the desire for things that lead you astray. 23 You were taught to be made new in your thinking. 24 You were taught to start living a new life. It is created to be truly good and holy, just as God is.
Welcome to Today’s Take!
Have you ever received words of cursing on you? Words of “hate” can be devastating. We don’t easily forget unkind words.
Words of “blessing” are not easily forgotten either. But we don’t seem to hear a lot of these positive words.
What does it mean to give a blessing? What happens when you say, “Blessings on you” or “Have a blessed day”?
Check out this video and see the power of positive words and what a blessing of words might look like.
Scripture: Number 6:24-26
24 The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.

Do you sit in the same place at church? Do you eat the same food for breakfast? Do you follow the same routine in the morning? Then you may be in a rut. It’s not a bad rut if you are talking about everyday life…But it is a bad rut if you are talking about your relationship with God.
It’s time to do something NEW.
Thank God WE don’t have to come up with a new thing! No, God says HE is about to do something new. In fact, He has already started doing it!
Check out Today’s Take and let’s discover the new things God is unveiling.
Isaiah 43:18-19: “But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Does God even care about your name? Doesn’t He love us all the same whether our name is Sue or Emily or Chris?
Today we will look at our names…that is the name by which we are called today. Because God says He will be giving us a new name. Where will that new name be inscribed? Take a look at Today’s Take “What’s in a Name?”
