1. On Valentine's Day 2012, we got a call from Vietnam to let us know ông ngoại { grandpa } had a stroke and was rushed to the hospital. Initially, there were promising signs for a recovery but his condition deteriorated rapidly so we traveled back to Vietnam to be by his side.

Not knowing his condition when we arrived, we were told he was dispatched from the hospital to spend his final days in comfort at home surrounded by family and friends. Fortunately, we arrived in time to say our final farewells to grandpa before he passed away later that evening. The chain reaction of events that followed his last breath was beautiful and amazing. It was as if the community united to become one big family to celebrate the life of a man we knew as ông ngoại. One of the most powerful moments was when I learned my cousin was responsible for operating grandpa's ventilator by hand. This is a 19-year old who put his life on hold to be by grandpa's side 24/7 until the moment he passed. My cousin has now moved in to help take care of my grandma and uncle who has special needs.

This videos attempts to highlights "the festival" the community put together the days after my grandpa's death to honour his life and prepare his spirit for the next part of the journey.

    Love life.

  2. It was our pleasure to film Kerri and Hugo's special day. This first video highlights the beautiful and intimate outdoor ceremony that took place on June 16, 2012 at La Salle Park (Geraldo's) in Burlington, ON. The bride and groom specifically asked for a candid filming approach to capture genuine moments they could reflect on for years to come.

The second "interpretive" video edit will be released shortly and will feature more magical moments including their amazing first dance together as husband and wife. Until then, ENJOY :)

Special thanks to Kerri and Hugo

  3. This is a grassroots project we proudly support and have been truly inspired by.

The "A Thousand Paper Cranes for Japan" project aims to raise funds for Save the Children Canada and generate awareness by making 1,000 paper cranes bearing handwritten well wishes, blessings and prayers from the public to be shared with the people of Japan.

This initiative serves as a great reminder to us at all that when it comes to spreading love, support and compassion, there is no such thing as too little effort.

Please support this inspiring project by visiting athousandpapercranes.com and donate, share a message and/or volunteer! Also, be sure to share the link so others can be touched by this monumental effort.

Special thanks to the Paper Place (thepaperplace.ca) and Save the Children Canada for their support.

    One world united.

  4. On March 11, 2011, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit Japan followed by a tsunami leaving a path of destruction in its wake. Today, the rescue and recovery efforts are in full throttle despite growing concerns over nuclear meltdowns and other disasters resulting from the devastating events.

The people of Japan need our assistance, support and prayers to overcome these trying times and get back on their feet.
