Cognitive and Information Sciences of University of California, Merced, presents its seventh consecutive Mind Technology and Society (MTS) talk series, 2011-12. In this MTS presentation, University of Connecticut Professor Michael Turvey lectures on how to provide an adequate framework for exploring the perceptions and actions of all organisms through the sciences. The title of Turvey's talk is Theory of perception-action in all organisms: What kind of science does it entail? MTS talks are supported by a generous gift from Dr. Robert J. Glushko and Dr. Pamela Samuelson. The theme of the Spring 2012 talks is Coordinating Minds in the Social and Technological World.
