Up 'N' Over - Down Under

The Black Lighthouse, also referred to as the Queenscliff High Light (given its close proximity to its shorter college 'the Queenscliff Short Light" [white in colour]), this lighthouse is also referred to as the Shortland Bluff Light and the name sake from the the grounds in which it resides, the Fort Queenscliff Lighthouse. But we'll just call it the Black Lighthouse...

Built in 1862, replacing it's dilapidated counter part built in 1843, the Black Lighthouse stands approximately 18m in height , combined with its position atop Shortland Bluff, giving it a focal point of 40m above sea level, and is apparently one of three black lighthouses in the world, and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere.

Located in the sea side town of Queenscliff, Victoria, about 105 km from Melbourne, on the Western side of the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, Australia, at the Southern most tip.
