UVM Clean Energy Fund

The Ellen A. Hardacre Equine Center Photovoltaic System was proposed in 2009 and awarded CEF funding in spring 2010. This is a 32 kW static, net-metered renewable energy system. The installation of 134 solar panels began in late June and was completed in late July of 2012 by Vermont Solar Engineering.

The following video is an interview with Kirk Herander, owner of Vermont Solar Engineering on the system type (micro-inverters), the system benefits, maintenance of the solar panels, and the basic installation process.

Videographer Daniel Hopkins '13, CEF Media Intern.
