Social Innovation: A case for magic. Our generation faces immense and overwhelming challenges. They are overwhelming because they are not on a human scale: the speed, the size and impact are beyond human. It is a super human task we are faced with and yet we have to face it. We need some magic.Society today is becoming increasingly collaborative by finding common and adoptable solutions to problems that exist. This session will explore these challenges and the many innovative solutions emerging globally.

Welcome to the 2015 VC Sessions!

This year we have 23 sessions with 25 speakers from around the world who are sharing cutting edge insights and research - all designed to enhance the DSIL course and build global community!

This year we have speakers working in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas to share cutting edge insights on topics ranging from design thinking, social entrepreneurship, sustainable development, storytelling, systems change (and more) to discussions on personal innovation, leadership and peace and conflict studies (among others). We have intentionally blended technical skills based sessions with two interactive workshops as well.

A new feature is the "#SOCENT Fireside Chat" series that will run in November- get ready to learn from entrepreneurs who have founded human rights, environmental and education outfits, are scaling incubators and launching tech products! You won't want to miss out on their personal journey and top lessons learned in the trenches.

If you are a participant, you are invited to join all 23 meetings, but required to complete reflections for a minimum of 10 to be eligible for the DSIL Certificate granted by the Centre for Executive Education at the UN University for Peace. Be sure to read the FAQ if questions remain.
