This is a brief introduction to a series of mini tutorial videos on installing and setting up Easy!Appointments Wordpress plugin locally on a non-production server. This first video highlights the minimum requirements. The videos are broken up by logical areas so one may start at the beginning or at any point you may be interested in learning.
This is the second video in this tutorial series. It presents where to find the files and applications you will need to install on a local machine to be able to create a working test environment. This includes getting Wamp, Wordpress, and the E!A WP plugin. If you are on a production machine or already have wordpress then you can skip ahead to the E!A WP plugin section.
The third video in this tutorial series shows how to install a Wamp server on a local PC. This allows for testing and pre-production installation or for testing modifications prior to moving them to a production live server. It does mention some of the gotchas in getting the E!A WP plugin to work on an Apache server enviornment such as needing to make sure rewrite service is running.
This fourth tutorial video in this series covers setting up a database for Wordpress and Easy!Appoinments to use. The steps would be similar on a local machine or on a production server. If you already have a working Wordpress site then you probably can skip this tutorial but we do go over our thoughts on security and IMO good practices. Yours may be different :)
