Viviendo la Naturaleza

  1. These 2 species in the rail family occur regularly in North America, and are very cryptic and tend to hide well in their wetland habitat of tall, reedy marshes, so they are not often seen. One of these elusive species is the Sora, the whistled calls and whinnies of which are more often heard than the birds are seen. The Virginia Rail is another, relatively common rail of marshes, and equally elusive.

  2. Davis Creek is located in the Raven Cliffs Wilderness Area near Helen, Georgia. It is a very short stream with several small waterfalls which soon drops over 200 feet forming the spectacular Dukes Creek Falls.

I last shot video there 5 years ago so I thought it was time for a revisit with a different camera. This was shot in April 2015 using a Panasonic GH4 camera at 60fps and 200mbps, using a standard color profile and the following lenses: Panasonic 14-45, 45-175, and Olympus 60mm macro as well as a 75-300. Other equipment used was an Ifootage Shark slider, Benro S-6 tripod and Glideshot jib.

Edited with Edius 5.51 and encoded with TMPGEnc 4. The music title is “Celeste” by Dirk Maassen and is used with permission from the composer. You can listen to more of his music at maassen-music.com/

  3. I was in Georgia on vacation and decided to spend a couple days shooting stock footage at the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge with my Sony PMW-F55. Most of the footage is 4K RAW unless it is is slow-motion, and then it is 2K RAW, usually at 240 frames per second. Graded in DaVinci Resolve 11 and edited in Premiere. Music by Tracey Chattaway.

  4. PT:

    EN:
The Noudar Nature Park is located at Herdade da Coitadinha for 'behind-the-hills' snaked between the Ardila River and Múrtega riverside, sandwiched between ridges and hills near the village of Barrancos (Alentejo, Portugal) . The path from the entrance of the park to the castle of Noudar, through an extensive area of holm ending with majestic views of the confluence of the two water lines.

Walking through the ancient foot trails and dirt roads will be finding other stories, the funds of valleys where mills rest-of-water, wild woods on slopes that slide into rivers, rocky ridges that rise up all the scenery.

The assembled, pastures, olive groves, grazing with cattle and pig, are the common signs to neighboring farms in this region. But here, a more abrupt and rocky relief protected enclaves of vegetation where they remained holm and dense woods, where the light enters with difficulty, only holdouts in a landscape much altered by man.

In Noudar life comes in the wild and absolute purity. - See more at:
