  2. Sacred Centers in India
Digital Humanities Initiative (DHi) at Hamilton College
    Prof. Abhishek Amar
    Associate Professor of Religious Studies

A walkthrough video of the three stages of developing in the Sacred Centers in India: Vishnupada 3D/VR temple.

Part one shows the Matterport scan/360 photography material: both a textured 3D model and a series of 360 panoramic images.

Part two shows the combined 3D models in Unity, where they have been combined into a larger single scene, with each 360 image location added to fixed VR teleport points, letting a user see those positions in either 3D (the OBJ model) or 360 panoramic image.

Part three shows the final product, a VR viewer that lets users walk around in the combined 3D models, and, at each camera position (integrated here as VR "teleport" points) the user can switch views into a 360 panoramic image of that position, from the Matterport photos.
