Detroit Reflect Hyperlapse is an experimental exploration to find the source of inspiration, creativity, and ingenuity. Detroit Michigan being the main focal point of this film shows all three qualities even though the city faces many challenges. Detroit Reflect Hyperlapse features famous Detroit architecture such as The Fox Theater, The Fillmore, Michigan Central Station, Wayne county courthouse, Renaissance Center, Brodrick Tower, David Stott Building, and Penobscot Building. We also explore various graffiti artists, some Detroit locals and some from out of the country. This list of artists include Malt, Tead, Monster Steve, Sintex, Melo, Ayem, Spagnola, Ishmael, Hot Tea, Rift, Kobie Solomon, Nychos, The Weird, and Nekst. Other familiar sights pop up such as Eastern Market, The Grand River Creative Corridor, and The Heidelberg Project with some of the last known footage of the House of soul before it tragically burnt down this past fall. This entire film was created using Hyperlape and Timelapse photography with a Canon 60d and edited with After Effects. Original music by Shane Law a.k.a. Sinister Savant and inspired by Detroit's techno roots.
I hope you all feel inspired by my exploration, thanks for watching.
