Year 5 & 6 pupils at Welbeck Primary School in Nottingham, got a taste of what it might be like to apply to & learn on a university degree, in a crash-course five week taster in film and animation.
While others learned of engineering, and sport science, a group of a dozen students turned their hand to set making, character design, foley sound recording, scripting, editing, and tried out all sorts of stop-motion techniques, including using plasticine models, multi-plane, shadows, and drawing on white boards & black boards. All this in just five shhoret afternoons! It'll make uni seem easy! ha!
They did so well, and totally created this story - of a tree living on & on through the seasons - themselves. Great work!
