1. A commercial I co-directed and designed for Toyota Scion. (with Rob Dupear)
Creative direction by Simon Needham from Attik.
Once again, the CG was produced by my talented friends at the Embassy VFX in Vancouver.
I sketched out every transformation detail first before any 3D work started.
The bridge environment is a virtual set based on photos I took of the Bloor Street Viaduct in Toronto.

  3. I directed this short CG film for the Canadian Pavillion at the Shanghai World's Fair 2010.
I was aiming for a "hand-made CG look" that took the audience on a short journey into the imagination of a young boy.
Inspiration included Henry Selick & Miyazaki.
CG was done by the great folks at Rainmaker Animation in Vancouver, Canada.

  4. The CG post was provided by the talented folks at The Embassy VFX who were also the ones who brought me onto the project in the first place.
The giant mechanical treadmill concept was fairly undefined when we first started, and had to go thru an intensive phase of concept design really quickly. I created all the concept art that the commercial was based on, including the mining-machine inspired treadmill, the high-tech hangar interior, as well as detailed story boards for all the mechanical transformations throughout the ad.
