WoodWorks Records, LLC is a powerhouse of artists, writers and producers that are positioned to change the music world as we know it. At its core, this group of musicians was founded on the principals of family, respect, and an appreciation daring creativity. As natives of the city of Inglewood, their extensive experience in the music industry makes them strong candidates to come out of the West coast as the new dominating label.
Davion, Daniel aka D Smoke, and “Sir” Darryl Farris began singing in church at the ages of 3, 4, and 5. As new additions to an already musical family, they quickly developed their voices and understanding of music theory. Their harmonies and keen ear for musical arrangements distinguished them from other budding musicians and performers. Their younger cousin, Tiffany aka T-gooch, followed closely behind them, singing harmonies with her younger sisters and dabbling with several instruments. At an early age, she took to producing and developed a unique sound that captivated audiences.
As a team, WoodWorks has worked with other artists accross several genres. Among other accolades, they received an ASCAP award for their work on “Never” performed by Jaheim. Recently they’ve toured several states, performing with other up and coming artists. They’ve appeared at several colleges, high schools, and music festivals such as SXSW. At one of their most recent shows at the Sheik Music Stage held at the Whiskey Agogo on Sunset, they displayed they’re talents in a “tag your man” alternating fashion. As they’re shows evolve and their crowds grow, the music continues to improve in quality and content. They’ve expanded they’re team to include a lineup of young rappers lead by the Fat Ron out of Inglewood. Collectively, they stand as a true testament to perserverance in the struggle to produce, promote and perform great music.
