  4. Leon Block tells his story about the invasion of Poland. The story was made as part of an inter-generational project with lewisschoolpengam.org.uk. Every Wednesday Lewis School Pengam invite the older community into their school for a luncheon club and activities. It enables older and younger age groups to mingle.

This project, facilitated by Breaking Barriers Community Arts, provided the method for young people to learn from the older group and were also involved in capturing their stories digitally. Thus preventing oral history and experiences from being lost to new generations and providing the school with new teaching materials relevant to their community. The impact upon the older group cannot be overestimated, especially when their stories were presented to them and shown in the school hall; their gratitude was heart-felt.
