And here's my biography:
Director Chel White’s extensive body of work includes short films, children’s television, music videos, commercials and an independent feature film. A Rockefeller Fellow, he sites dreams and the subconscious as his greatest influences. White's work has screened at the Museum of Modern Art (NY), the Smithsonian, and a 2012 retrospective at the Northwest Film Center. His film festival screenings include Berlin, Tribeca, Ann Arbor, SXSW, Annecy, and three films in the Sundance. He was awarded Best Short Film from the Stockholm International Film Festival, Best Animated Short from the Florida Film Festival, and Best Narrative Feature from the 2012 Kansas City Film Festival for his debut feature film "Bucksville", about a secret society in the Pacific Northwest.
"Harrowdown Hill", White's groundbreaking music video for Radiohead's Thom Yorke, won Best Music Video at the 2007 SXSW Festival. "Bird of Flames", his experimental video for David Lynch and Chrysta Bell, straddles the line between stop-motion and live-action.
The New York Times calls White’s 2011 kids holiday special, Jingle All the Way, “by far the best of the bunch.” His commercial clients include Nike, Starbucks and the American Indian College Fund. White has also been a visual effects artist for filmmaker Gus Van Sant on several of his pictures, including the Academy Award winning "Milk". He is a co-founder of BENT, an animation studio in Portland, Oregon.
