Chris Chow is a Director of Photography | Cinematographer for both film and video, shooting all types of programs and formats, working in both the Broadcast, Film & Video Industry. He has worked on Narrative Film, Documentaries, TV Commercials, Promos, Music Videos, ENGs and Corporate Productions.
Chris brings to the table a friendly and professional attitude combined with a very high standard to the field of film & video production & aims to always provide a truly emotional & visual connection with the audience. Since filmmaking is a collaborative art form, Chris not only brings his own knowledge and experience to the table but the ability to visualize and capture the ideas of the writer / director’s concept into reality within the set production budget, creating the desired mood and atmosphere for an appropriate emotional impact.
Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Chris attended the University of Alberta where he majored in Film & Media Studies before attending the Television Broadcasting Program at NAIT. Alongside real-world production experience, Chris has undergone rigorous training in the art and craft of cinematography by working alongside some of the most established industry personnel as well as continually educating himself through workshops & seminars.
During his career, Chris has worked on most formats including 35mm and 16mm film, RED, high definition video, P2, XDcam, & HDSLR.
