Christina D’Arrigo was born in New York City, New York, USA, and has been studying dance for 21 years. Christina was a ballet dancer for choreographer, Elliot Feld’s Ballet Tech Company from ages 9 to 14. She then attended LaGuardia Arts High School where she received a specialised diploma in dance. Christina then achieved her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Minor in Studio Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, USA. Upon graduating with a BA in Dance, she returned to New York and began dance company, ChEckiT!Dance, with business partner, Allison Brzezinski. After being the company’s Co-Artistic Director for one year, Christina moved to London, UK to attend Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance to participate in the MA Choreography programme. She then transferred to the MFA Creative Practice programme, and is now undertaking her final dissertation project to be presented in Laban’s Graduate School Showcase in July 2013.
