Chris is an aspiring filmmaker and editor living in Shreveport, Louisiana. He has edited several short films, features, and television shows including a feature-length documentary "Haynesville" which was nominated for several awards at prestigious film festivals like SXSW in Austin, the New Orleans Film Festival, and Sheffield Doc/Fest. The film has been showcased around the world and received its network television premiere on CNBC in November 2010.
When not in the editing room, Chris also works on film and televisions sets in virtually every department. He has found himself on various levels of production with companies such as Secret Identity Productions' "6 Month Rule," 20th Century Fox/ABC's “The Gates," CBS/Millineum Films' “The Mechanic," and Joel Schumacher's upcoming film "Trespass". When it comes to film, Chris is also fiercely independent. He has self- produced several shorts and features (including the recently completed post-apocalyptic drama "Stay With Me") and has proven to be an essential supporting character – willing to assist in everything from camera and production work to editing and graphic design – in the burgeoning Louisiana independent film scene.
Most recently, Lyon premiered the feature film "Stanley DeBrock," which he co-produced, at the Cannes Film Festival Market. He is currently editing a national hunting show, "Killin' N' Grillin'" for Pursuit Network while preparing his next narrative film endeavor.
