Christian MacDonald is a Canadian director and screenwriter from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. His work focuses on character-driven stories that explore various perceptions of reality.
Christian's debut short film, "When You're Gone" (2012) premiered as an official selection at the 32nd Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia and as an official selection at the 11th Annual Route 66 International Film Festival in Springfield, Illinois. "When You're Gone" has also aired on national broadcast television in Canada. His latest short film, "Anna" received a nomination in the "Sound" category at the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards 2015.
Christian holds an MFA in Film Directing from the Edinburgh College of Art, Screen Academy Scotland and a BFA in Film Production from NSCAD University (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design). He is currently developing a feature length film and resides in Riga, Latvia.
