Cinzia D'Ambrosi is a documentary photographer whose extensive ability and experience to engage and enter various communities has rendered her photography work of a great depth and unique vision. Cinzia centres her main body of work on reaching out to those who are marginalized by society and she often spends long time with her subjects to bring to light her investigations on a deeper level. Her motivation is to influence decision makers and increase awareness on social issues through her photo work. She has taken part or initiated in photo campaigns such as the Health and Safety at work campaign in China by the Justice and Peace Commission of the Hong Kong Catholic Diocese with her photo essay on illegal coal mining and her work on marginalized communities in Europe is developing in various collaboration with NGOs.
She is presenting at Photofusion, “Hope”, a photograph belonging to a collection of photo stories called “Transitional” that is documenting the lives of many in the UK trapped in various layers of homelessness.
