Goodwill’s career as a narrative writer/director launched with his debut short film, Patch Town. Patch Town world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and had its US Premiere at the Palm Springs International ShortFest. Patch Town won the Director’s Guild Award for Best Short, and “Best in Show” at Best Shorts Festival in Los Angeles.
The feature film version of Patch Town will have its Canadian premiere at the Whistler International Film Festival in the prestigious Borsos Competition in December 2013 followed by its International Premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January 2014.
Craig Goodwill began his film career as a producer/director’s assistant on films such as Good Will Hunting, 54, Driven, Superstar, Storm of the Century, Loser, among many others. Subsequently, Goodwill traveled the world from Haiti to India directing and producing documentaries for National Geographic, CBC, Alliance Atlantis, during which time he completed a feature documentary called Godless, documenting the rise of Atheism through modern times.
Goodwill continues to shoot award-winning work as a commercial director for clients such as Nike, Microsoft, Bank of America, and Nokia, to name a few.
