Cucalorus is a multi-disciplinary arts organization supporting emerging and innovative artists through an annual film festival, a residency program, a summer camp for teen filmmakers, a microcinema, and an extensive community outreach program. The annual Cucalorus Film Festival takes place November 13-17, 2013 in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. The non-competitive festival will showcase more than 200 films from all over the world and attract 300 participating artists who come to share work, celebrate the artform and connect with peers. The festival’s blend of curated and juried films are culled from over 1200 entries and bring established veterans like Gaspar Noe to the screen alongside emerging filmmakers like Luke Matheny (God of Love). Festival programs focus on dance, music videos, emerging artists, social justice, works-in-progress, and international cinema.
