Daniel Rossa is a german-based art director and media artist. Having studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, his artistic approach is shaped by the urge for interdisciplinary experimentation and clear decisiveness regarding an analytical view of aesthetic perception.
The recreation of links in between the digital world and existent reality is a main focus of his work – driven by the need to bring together virtual and actual reality within a physical and immediate aesthetic experience. The field of activity is as versatile as its experienceable channels and project-related challenges: From architectural stagings within the urban area via sculptural installations through lighting concepts and stage designs.
Received awards and nominations include Cannes Design Lions, Art Directors Club Germany, German Design Award, Art Directors Club Europe and the German Lighting Design Award. Amongst others, his work was shown in the context of Hamburger Kunsthalle, Thessaloniki International Filmfestival, Bauhaus Dessau, Theater Bremen, International Dance Days Muenster, MuseumsQuartier Vienna and the Sydney Opera House.
