Daniel Etherington has had (to date), a 20 year career in post production, specialising in advertising and the demanding world of fast turnaround retail work. He has a loyal client following, nurtured over several years and has a high level of trust and respect deeming him one of the 'safest pair of hands' in the industry. His strengths lie in the relationships he builds with agencies and he keeps these communications flowing.
More recently however he has become more involved in the business management side of the industry by becoming a board director at his current company at Golden Square.
He has held this post for 3.5 years.

Online editor using Quantel Henry Infinity at MPC. Exposed to all the main agencies and some are friends still to this day. My industry peers grew with me to our now more senior roles.

2D VFX assistant in a team of 4 (MPC), servicing 9 Autodesk/ Quantel suites 24 hours a day, at least 5 days a week. I put the hours in and feel I got my just desserts!

Promo editor for UKTV at Foxtel in Sydney, NSW Australia. Working in linear (Sony controlled digis) and non-linear (Avid) suites.

Junior editor (MPC) in the linear suites, aswell as non linear Avid editing. Some of the kit used included Sony 9100 edit controller, Abacus A84 vision mixer, A64 disc recorder, A57 picture mover.

VT assistant (MPC) servicing the online linear edit suites. This involved using Character generators the Aston Motif, Aston 4 and A72. Formats used 1", D1, D2, BetaSP, Digibeta, Hi-Band Umatic, 1/4" audio & DAT.
We also shot artwork using a programmable rostrum camera. Ken Morse had this sewn up though!
