Danny Wantz is an Associate Creative Director/ Filmmaker with professional experience in all aspects of commercial and documentary production, from conceptualization to post-production.
Since leaving film school, Danny has immersed himself in New York City’s creative content industry. As head of TV and video production at Bullett Magazine, Danny wrote and directed creative fashion videos and short films starring talents like Carla Gugino and Donald Glover.
For the last three years Danny has spent his time producing sharp, top quality content for some of the most reputable agencies in New York. He is a featured filmmaker with SWOON NYC, a creative agency that focuses on concept development, consulting, art direction, and film production. He collaborates with Eyeball NYC as an Associate Creative Director on freelance projects. Eyeball NYC is an in-house creative agency that works with brands to deliver forward-minded creative content. As Broderville Pictures’ full-time Creative Development Coordinator, Danny generated ideas, researched, wrote treatments, cast, and developed potential talent for commercials and reality television shows.
Danny has conceptualized, produced, directed, and shot advertisements for a variety of clients including Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, Harvard University, Makeup Forever, fashion designer Zoe Twitt, Bullett Magazine, Chicago on Broadway, and Third Ward Brooklyn. He has worked with talented individuals, such as John Waters, Michael Shannon, Paz de la Huerta, Michael Ian Black, Vincent Pia . zza, Alek Wek, Gilles Bensimon, Jenna Malone, Tim Tebow, Olaf Breuning, and Charlotte Free. Having filmed over fifty short films, documentaries, and interviews, he has created work that has been featured in and covered by a plethora of media sources, including CNN, MSNBC, ESPN, The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, blackbook, Style, Fox, and Radar Online.
