Eleanor Wilson was born and raised in Adelaide, Australia and has lived in New York for the last 7 years. In addition to making films, she is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, the programming coordinator of Film Fatales, and a freelance commercial producer.
Possum, Eleanor’s directorial debut, played at many festivals throughout the US and Australia, winning the title of Best Short Film at the Nitehawk Film Festival in New York, and the Emerge Film Festival in Maine. Her most recent short film, Everything All At Once, is set to be released on sundance.tv.
Her acting can be seen in the recent indy features Things I Don’t Understand & The Confabulators, and the Australian ABC TV series’ The Librarians and Very Small Business. She is a co-founder of the Picture Farm Film Festival, alumni of the Film Victoria Producer's Attachment Program, and in 2014, served on the jury of the Lighthouse International Film Festival.
She is currently trying to find time to write.
