enJoy film is a stop motion animation collaboration between Bob de Broise and Elizabeth Holly Hurt. Both coming from a design background they aim to create stories driven by visuals and to solely utilise handmade techniques; experimenting with various puppetry and model making styles, often within the same film.
After receiving funding in 2011 from IdeasTap for their first animation, Joy, Bob and Elizabeth set up enJoy film and have since gone on to make a further 6 animations; a combination of self-directed short films, competition entries and a music video. Their films have been screened at various events and film festivals in the UK and Ireland. Burnt Trees was nominated for an Independent Directions Award at the Leeds Young Film Festival in 2012, and Joy has been utilised as an educational resource in schools in the UK and Hong Kong.
