I was born in Chania, 1978.
Even though I studied Law and Turkish Language I decided to focus on photography and film/video.
I attended inspiring workshops with Anders Petersen (2003), Antoine D'Agata (Photoespana 2007), Carl de Keyzer, David Hurn, Mark Power (Brighton PhotoBiennale 2008) and Andrei Polikanov (ISSP, Latvia 2010).
In 2008 I was awarded the IKY Greek State’s Scholarship for postgraduate studies in Photography and undertook a Master in Arts from the University of Brighton.
Mythology, memory, fantasy and the unconscious form the basis for my creativity.
My project Traces Within (evavoutsaki.com) has been awarded honourably mentions at the 2008 and 2009 PX3 Photography Prize competition in the category of fine art student photography and has been internationally recognized and exhibited among other places at 2009 Arles juried festival Voies Off, MACRO Museum of Contemporary Arts in Rome, and HOST gallery in London.
I love experimenting and challenging myself. I speak fluently Greek, English, Turkish and Spanish and at the moment I am learning Chinese. Lets see what happens...
