This is my first attempt at making a documentary. For three months I followed an emerging DJ as he played shows in Baltimore, South Carolina and DC.

Thank you for the reply. I am venturing out in filming/editing/publishing my first documentary. It will be filmed in Haiti. Do you think the cannon 7D will be the best option for me? Since I will be in Haiti, I dont want something that is going to be too bulky or conspicuous as I am walking around filming...

7D is great camera. It is basically the same as T2I/550D (as far as the sensors and image quality are concerned) but it has a much better housing; magnesium vs. plastic. Canon's 60D is also a really nice option because it's priced right in between the T2I and the 7D. So if you haven't looked into that camera check it out. Either way you'll be happy with the results I'm sure.

Best of luck with your documentary.
