Hello,

I'm really new to dslr video and I'm having an issue when moving the camera horizontally on a tripod. The video is almost choppy after exporting. Can anyone help me out?

Here's a quick example: youtube.com/watch?v=mwUx5cqAEZ4

Thanks

Have you been helped with this yet? Noticed it was 10-days old and perhaps your all set by now.

A couple of things might help

On manual video mode, try using a higher shutter speed (between 60-80), you will probably either have to open your aperture more or use a higher ISO to accommodate for the lost light.

(It's also worth noting that CMOS sensors that are used in the t2i, t3i, 60D, and 7D are known to have distortion problems when panning at a moderate speed.

I hope that helps.

Cheers

You could also change your recording settings to 720p at 60fps. This will also help you achieve smoother motion.

That's an export issue, not an in-camera issue. Try exporting at different resolutions, data rates, etc. Lots of tutorials on the net about it, depending on your editing software.
