Fragility is about expression of the real, blurring boundaries between art and life, confronting fragile or sensitive subjects, and giving these subjects time and space to breathe and develop, and bringing them to light in ways that are powerful, shocking or even, on occasion, comical.
We play with biographical stimuli through an Authorial practice. We get interested by real stories from real people. We create performances that are explorative, adventurous and multi-disciplinary, using mediums including acting, movement, music, film and live art. This encourages us to work with both actors and non-actors to pick apart conventional theatre making and expression. We promote 'human perspectives' and work in a way where performers feel ownership of the work.
In 2012 we premiered three new writings, and were privilaged to take our work to both national and international platforms, including:
Soho Theatre, Old Red Lion Theatre, Lounge on the Farm Music Festival, Greenwich Summer Festival (performing for the Olympic Equestrian audience) and Prague Fringe (amongst others).
In 2013 we will premier two new works and continue to develop our existing work, as well as continuing to offer workshops to share our research and training with others.
