George E. Brown who resided in Olney, MD has passed on at almost 96 years years of age. He lived a full life serving God, his family, his friends, his country,charities, music, golf, and his beloved drinks of Scotch, Benedictine, and Grand Mariner.
George grew up with 4 brothers and 4 sisters, traveling between Manchester NH and Miami, FL, before the family settled in Winthrop, MA.
George went on to serve in the Navy, Army Air Corps(which later became the Air Force), and the Civilian Air Corps as a radio gunner and pilot.
He settled in the Washington,D.C. area after meeting his beautiful wife, Bertha.
He continued to serve his community as a Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus and in many areas of the St. Peter's Parish in Olney, MD.
George had the great joy of not only meeting his 5 grandkids, but also 3 of his great-grandkids. He was a joy, a friend, and a whole lot of fun.
We'll miss him forever, but we know he's traveled to the best of places.
