I finished my undergraduate degree at Idaho State University in December 2011. I majored in Anthropology with a minor in Mass Communication and Spanish. I transferred to this school from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. I have been working at a Pre-Classic Mayan Archaeological site in Guatemala, C.A, called El Mirador, as the archival videographer from 2008-2011. I was awarded the District 5400 Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year and used my scholarship to pursue a MA in Documentary Filmmaking at the University of the Arts London: London College of Communication in 2012-2013. As an emerging visual anthropologist I want to create films/videos that address environmental, social, cultural, and historical issues as an artistic tool to raise awareness, giving a voice to the voiceless, and to preserve what remains for our future generations. I am dedicated to helping transform the world into a sustainable, just, and peaceful place for all beings.
