Richard Gorodecky is a writer, creative director and film director.
As a writer and creative director he honed his skills at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam, then founded the brand content agency Amsterdam Worldwide in 2008. He has won over sixty industry awards including a Cannes Gold Lion, the Grand Prix at Eurobest, and a Silver Effie. He has been featured in a number of books and publications and a selection of his work is in the permanent collection at Museum for Art and Craft in Hamburg.
As a director/writer his recent documentary The River Man won Best Short Documentary at Catmarthen Bay Film Festival, was shortlisted for the Grand Prix and Best Documentary at Cork Film Festival, and was a Finalist for Best Short at Big Sky Film Festival. It has, so far, been in the Official Selection of thirteen international film festivals. He was short-listed in 2015 for Best International New Director at Kinsale. His new film, Little Shit, is currently in production.
