English lyrics:
I've been looking
I could not find
Other boys to love
Than the one I met
At Blue Bayou

In the yards and in bars
He sang on his guitar
For a few francs, for a few dollars
At Blue Bayou

I think I'd like to return to Blue Bayou
Where people are beautiful when the sky is warm
A Blue Bayou
On the white boat where someone is waiting for me
In a night's ray
Descended by chance on his guitar
Sleeping with him

The sun is down in my city
The sun is high on his island
Year 2000 is so far away
At Blue Bayou

In the yards and in bars
I live from his guitar
Wrapped in his old scarf
At Blue Bayou

Of course I would go to Blue Bayou
Where people are beautiful when the sky is warm
At Blue Bayou
On the white boat where someone is waiting for me
In a night's ray
Descended by chance on his guitar
Sleeping with him

Opal roads
a sail
The red moon encircled by stars
I've been looking, I cannot find
Somone better than him for me
My happiness is at the end
A randez-vous
At Blue Bayou
