The Occupy Wall Street movement has spread nationwide, reaching the Golden State. Roughly 1,000 Californians are camping out on the lawn of Los Angeles City Hall.
Armed with cardboard signs and a hunger for change, they call for an end to the marriage of US politics and corporations and to an economic system they feel has brought nothing but disparity and debt. Criticism of their supposed lack of focus hasn't deterred them in the slightest.
This is a visual glimpse into an afternoon with these fervent Americans.
