Rod Stryker is widely considered to be one of the preeminent yoga and meditation teachers in the United States. He is the founder of ParaYoga and has taught tantra, meditation, and hatha yoga for more than twenty-five years.
Stryker, the founder of ParaYoga, credits all of his accomplishments and the many gifts in his life to two of his teachers, Kavi Yogiraj Mani Finger and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, a teacher in the lineage of the great Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas. In addition to being an accomplished yogi, noted teacher, lecturer, and writer, Stryker is also a master in the art of personalizing yoga and meditation practices for individuals.
Stryker is on the advisory board of Yoga + Joyful Living magazine and is a member of the board of directors of the Himalayan Institute. In addition to a number of high profile private clients, he has also owned two successful yoga studios in Los Angeles. He has produced several CDs, including Meditations for Inner and Outer Peace, Meditations for Life, and Relax into Greatness. He has also published a 23-CD set called Tantra: The Radiant Soul of Yoga and a 21-CD set called Vinyasa Krama: The Energetics of Sequencing. He is featured in the Yoga Journal DVD Yoga for Longevity.
