FOLLOWING six days of torturous calm, a small lethargy relieving north-eastery swell pushed into the North Shore.
Most of the fun went down at Rocky Point and V-land. The funky north and north-easterly swell direction meant Pipe and Off The Wall weren't up to their best with most size at Kammies and Sunset, the site of the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing.
Looking into the middle of next week for the Pipeline Pro kick-off there's a decent pulse on the way for the opening days, peaking on Wednesday in the double overhead+ range. The swell is straight north with gusty southerly winds favouring Backdoor over Pipe.
