Don’t Walk. SCRAMBLE — to Art of Winter
Wagner Custom Skis and the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival collaborated with Colorado renowned artist, Scramble Campbell to create the ultimate Art of Winter experience. This unique creation was born from the genius of Pete Wagner, owner and founder of Wagner Custom Skis. The idea was to create a pair of custom skis from start to finish using a custom ski canvas as the painting canvas for Scramble Campbell’s famed style of ‘performance painting,’ to take place at the 19th Annual 2012 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. When Pete and owner and founder of Something Independent, Chuck Sullivan got together on this idea of a snow, brew, and blues inspired exhibition, Scramble Campbell stepped in to take it from there. This video depicts this amazing story and the incarnation (or creation) of this wonderful piece for Art of Winter.
Wagner Custom Skis are made from the world's finest components, one pair at a time, in an ultra-modern shop entirely powered by wind and sun.

Colorado based artist Keith ‘Scramble’ Campbell is nationally recognized for his paintings ‘live and in concert’ because he actually attends concerts where he completes paintings during the course of a single performance. Campbell endeavors to capture- through light, color, texture, composition and vigorous brushwork- the inherent feeling of the music and actions of the performers. For two decades, Campbell’s ‘performance paintings’ have been inspired in places like the intimate setting of a dark nightclub to the collective consciousness of a large concert or festival. The subject matters of Campbell’s paintings include the musically elite as well as up and coming new talent. Including artists such as: BB King, Fats Domino, Willie Nelson, Widespread Panic, and String Cheese Incident.
