Luckily for the remote town of Pooncarie, help is never far away thanks to the local volunteers who provide emergency support through the Ambulance Service NSW. Katie Robins is one of those officers who initially joined the ambulance service four years ago to get involved and support her new community. A mother who lives on an outback station, she has attended many training sessions provided by the ambulance service, ensuring emergency support and intervention is available until the Royal flying doctors arrive.
